Deep Silver just released their Metro Exodus Sam’s Story DLC launch trailer to show fans exactly what new adventures await with their latest expansion for the newest Metro title. Despite its Epic Games Store exclusivity, the game was met with incredibly positive feedback back in 2019 and now that the EGS exclusivity deal has come to a close, more fans can enjoy the studio’s latest adventure for themselves through Steam.
According to the studio over at Deep Silver: “Sam’s Story follows former U.S. Marine Sam, a Spartan Ranger who has worked under Colonel Miller since the nuclear war devastated Moscow, and followed Artyom in search of a world outside of the Metro. Sam had long dreamed of returning to his homeland, and perhaps even finding his father alive. The prospect seemed impossible in the darkened tunnels of the Metro, but when the Spartans discovered that Moscow was not the only city left alive after the war, holding out hope didn’t feel so foolish anymore.
“Sam, determined to find a way back to the U.S., departed from the Aurora to make his way through Vladivostok’s tsunami-ravaged harbours, ruined industrial buildings, and crumbling residential districts. However, to complete his journey, Sam will discover that he needs every tactic he has learned so far to survive, as his surroundings prove to be far trickier than expected.”
The new story DLC will offer tons of new experiences including brand new characters to meet, a new playable character, as well as new weapons, enemies, and even more story goodness. Plus, even more of that glorious sandbox world to explore, it’s a win/win for all Metro fans.
The second Metro Exodus story DLC, Sam’s Story, is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Google Stadia platforms, with the Steam version of the game coming on February 15th officially.
