Catch Your Crush’s Heart With This Newly Released Pokemon Love Ball Replica

The perfect gift for Valentine's Day

Almost a month before Valentines Day, The Pokemon Company has announced the latest Replica Pokeball to join its line: the Love Ball. Initially released in the Johto Region for Pokemon Gold and Silver, this cotton-candy pink capsule has captured plenty of hearts as well as Pokemon.

Catch Your Crush’s Heart With This Newly Released Pokemon Love Ball Replica

This Love Ball replica is a die-cast metal model with a high-gloss lacquer. Like the Pokeballs shown in both animes and games, it’s almost 3 inches in diameter (75 mm) and will fit comfortably in most hands.

It also comes with a display case, pictured in the image above, or it can be set upon a display ring. The Love Ball also features touch- and proximity-sensing technology. When you reach for it, its front button will illuminate. Actually pressing the button causes a Pokemon-catching light sequence to trigger.

The Love Ball isn’t the only Pokeball available, though. The Wand Company, which makes these die-cast metal replicas in partnership with The Pokemon Company, has made 11 total Pokeballs. This includes your standard Pokeball, the Master Ball, and the far more rare Cherish Ball.

But how much will having one of these beautiful replicas set you back?

Well, it won’t cost you as much as it would if you tried to get one at a Porto Mariana Auction where they regularly sell for over 100,000 Pokedollars, but it will cost you $100. Love isn’t cheap, but isn’t it worth it?

There is a current purchase limit of 2 per customer, but if you’re in the US, you can expect it to arrive at your doorstep in 5-9 business days. That makes it perfect as a gift for your Pokemon Trainer crush or significant other. And wouldn’t an engagement ring look perfect in a Love Ball?
