Earlier this week, leakers began searching through the game code and speculated that the new Season 4 release date was going to be this week, but it was never officially confirmed by Infinity Ward, until now. Unfortunately, developers didn’t offer any details on what we can expect in the new season content-wise, so we will have to wait until tonight to what’s in store for the new season.

There have been some rumors that we might see the addition of zombies in Warzone Season 4. Zombies are a bit part of the Call of Duty franchise but haven’t been present in Warzone so far, but it seems that might change with the new season. However, it’s important to remember that these are merely rumors and are in no way confirmed. Additionally, it’s unclear how large the update for the new season will be, but we are going to guess it’ll be at least 20-30GB, so you’ll likely want to go ahead and free up some space on your consoles or PC so you can hop in as soon as the update is live.

On the other hand, others are hoping that we will finally get a night mode map with the new season, but at the time of writing there has been no mention of it from Infinity Ward. Additionally, hopefully the season update will fix the pesky revive bug that is preventing players from being able to switch back to their weapon after a failed revive.

Season 4 was originally set to launch earlier this month but was rightly delayed due to the protest over the death of George Floyd. In a statement, Infinity Ward said, “Right now it’s a time for those speaking up for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard.” You can read the full statement on the official Infinity Ward Twitter account.
