Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Weapon Glitch Fixed With Latest Patch

The nightmarish polygon disaster is no more!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players have been subjected to a number of issues with the game since it launched, but one of the worst ones to date is the weapon glitch that turned some weapons into nightmares. Thanks to a recent patch, however, that glitch has now been dealt with.

The developers at Infinity Ward recently took to their website to outline the new patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The patch itself isn’t focused on too much outside of fixing the weapon glitch. For those who have not seen or experienced said glitch, think of a nightmarish creature with several jagged edges and points sticking out of every side. Now imagine seeing that everytime you picked up a weapon. While the bug did not occur for everyone, or with every weapon, it definitely led to some questionable moments in-game.

Luckily, the new patch removes the hellish abomination from the game as well as a few other things. It also fixes an issue that would occur when Warzone players would select “Play Again” as well as a bug that allowed players to ascend through a closed door in Downtown via rope. There is one small issue with the patch itself, however, as those on Xbox One have a hefty install.

This is due to a bug that popped up with the Microsoft patch delivery process. PlayStation 4 players have a 1.2GB update, while those on PC have a 0.88GB and 1.83GB update for just Warzone and the full game, respectively. Xbox One players, however, will need to download a 66.3GB update. No need to worry as this will simply replace some of the files already on the system and will not affect the overall install size, which currently sits at 99.5GB for Warzone and 183GB for Warzone and Modern Warfare after the latest update.
