Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Is Great, But This Video Proves Serious Hitbox Issues

by Liana Ruppert

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has a serious hitbox issue that needs to be addressed ASAP. Now I know it’s not just me saying it because I usually pwn when it comes to shooters, but the last few days straight up headshots were dealing no damage. After seeing my deaths the last few days on killcams, I was so sure that the hitboxes in this game were incredibly broken and now a new viral video on Reddit is giving me the vindication I needed.

My go-to weapons for Modern Warfare are the M4A1and the AX-50 sniper, both pack a mean punch. Aim isn’t an issue, trust me, it’s those damn hitboxes. Playing with buds, we were noticing that the hitbox issue was something everyone was running into – which granted, made me feel better – so when hunting around online to see if others were having the same problem, we ran into this helpful video.

Vindication in one easy step:

The player hitbox is broken. from r/modernwarfare

You can’t argue that, come on. That’s straight-up broken. Given that a patch just went live and didn’t address any of the hitbox issues, it’s unclear if the development team is aware of the problem just yet, but it’s pretty hard to ignore so hopefully a fix will be deployed soon.

Modern Warfare, the latest Infinity Ward shooter is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC through Battle.net. What other changes would you like to see happen in Modern Warfare? Are you running into the hitbox issue yourself? Sound off with your thoughts over on Twitter @PrimaGames
