Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Leaks Thanks to Snackies

Thanks, Doritos, for the hot tip regarding the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War game.

You’ve got your snackies, you’ve got your choccie milk, and you’ve got your Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War leak thanks to Doritos. While there have been several leaks leading up to this point about a Cold War-focused shooter, this is the first time we’ve seen an actual logo for the upcoming Call of Duty plastered right smack dab on delicious Doritos.

The latest leak comes courtesy of a chips bag but it’s not the first. Following an internal alpha test, the Cold War narrative was first revealed months prior but now we’ve got official marketing material to peep our eyes on:

With the promotional launch seen, it looks like Activision will be sticking to their usual October release date, though as we approach August we’ve yet to see any public acknowledgement from the team itself. Still, the Doritos campaign has the begin date for October 5th, which is the first look we’ve gotten at a possible launch window.

With Black Ops being the next up in the rotating pattern of Call of Duty launches, many CoD fans are excited to return to a historical experience sans jetpacks. Press F to yell at Gorbachev, because it looks like with the plethora of leaks recently, Activision will be pressed to announce the next step sooner rather than later.

Surprisingly enough, we didn’t learn about Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War during EA’s showcase back in June, which everyone expected. When they’ll reveal it is up in the air, but it looks like the studio will be doing their own private announcement, forgoing the digital events that have replaced usual announcement styles thanks to COVID-19.

What do you hope to see from the next Call of Duty reveal? Do you like the thought of Black Ops Cold War or would you like them to go back to future and present-day narratives? Sound off with your thoughts over on Twitter @PrimaGames!
