The Bureau: XCOM Declassified to Receive Xbox Live Exclusive Content Next Week
Get ready to visit Hangar 6.
2K Games wants to continue the story of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified in a big way.
In a blog post, the publisher announced that it will release a new DLC pack exclusively for Xbox Live on October 8th.
The content is titled Hangar 6 R&D, and ties in with the events surrounding Agent Carter in the main game. You play newcomer Agent DaSilva, who works with squad member Ennis Cole through a series of psychic experiments and treatments, which in turn introduce a number of mental defenses you’ll need to master.
The difficulty will be higher than in the main game, but new perks and powers will be available, as well as a new AK-47 rifle and prototype Microwave Gun.
“The development team at 2K Marin wanted to explore what it was like to be part of The Bureau before and during the initial invasion, and so this DLC is set before Agent Carter’s recruitment into the organization,” said lead designer Harley White-Wiedow.. “Because of that, we needed a new protagonist, someone who was around before the invasion that the player could relate to, and our thoughts immediately went to Nico DaSilva. What was he doing during the invasion? Why does he talk about having lost so many friends? We wanted to explore these questions, and we wanted to up-rez his mustache.”
No word on if, or when, the content will come to PC and PlayStation 3.
