A new day, a new Bully 2 rumor. Though we’ve had some incredible leaks and rumors here in the past several months, the latest tid-bit to come down the grapevine is infinitely less exciting, especially for those craving a new Bully 2 game in the near future.
The latest Bully 2 rumor comes by the way of Resetera with a known leaker with an “inside” Rockstar dev contact in New England. Allegedly, the dev told the leaker that Bully 2 was meant to focus on Jimmy’s Summer vacation in his mom’s new husband’s sprawling mansion. According to the same dead, players would have been able to explore both the house, the nearby towns, and the Summer Camp, all while learning how to be a proper (or in-proper) step-sibling. Sounds good, right? Apparently too good because the same leaker says that his source told him the whole thing has been scrapped.
There is one silver lining, however. The dev did note that the above ideas and mechanics changes were in progress almost 10 years ago and that the game was actually scrapped quite some time ago as well. He added that “anything could have happened in the meantime” regarding Rockstar’s possible interest in a revival.
Like with all rumors, take this with a grain of salt. Both the revival and the cancellation news are from one singular source. We’ve reached out to our own contacts for comment.
Previous rumors suggested that the game wasn’t cancelled and will instead feature a college-theme for our protagonist. A familiar protagonist but a new enough setting for unlimited potential.
