We knew that something Handsome Jack-related was on the way thanks to a teaser from the studio earlier this week. Since the main bad dude from previous entries is dead, players were intrigued to see how he would possibly fit into the narrative. Well, now we know and it all comes down to his casino, one of his investments that were shut down due to his untimely death.

Players will be tasked with hunting a “Vault” of loot while taking out the remnants of the casino, which will be a new adventure set to go live next month. According to Gearbox when revealing the new 3-player activity, “vMoxxi’s assembling a crew to plunder a derelict space station casino and you’ve proven yourself worthy of joining her ragtag team of “experts.” Successfully battle your way through Hyperion security forces and crazed casino-goers to reach a safe loaded with Eridium, cash, and all-new Legendary loot!”

With this casino housing everything that represents “Handsome Jack’s lavish lifestyle and dirty dealings,” the latest DLC to arrive promises a competitive new play experience sure to be fully equipped with the humor fans have come to expect from a Borderlands game.

The twMoxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot DLC goes live on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on December 19th.
