Succeeding during multiplayer often comes down to choosing the right tools for the job. That’s where the classes come in to play. Before spawning into a game, you’re prompted to choose which class you wish to play as. Although there are only four troop kits to choose from, the customization options are the most elaborate of any Battlefield game to date. This allows you to mix and match weapons, gadgets, and Field Upgrades to create a completely unique kit that compliments your style of play and meets the demands of any tactical situation.
ASSAULT
Weathering healing, reviving, or leading an attack, the assault class is extremely versatile, making it a must-have for any squad. Check out the free Assault Class sample chapter in the Battlefield 4 digial guide.
ENGINEER
Equipped with a Repair Tool and a vast array devastating missiles, rockets and mines, the engineer class is all about taking out enemy vehicles.
SUPPORT
Pass the ammo! It’s the job of the support class to distribute ammo and lay down high volumes of suppressing fire with their LMGs.
RECON
Specializing in long-range combat and reconnaissance, the recon class gains greater flexibility in Battlefield 4 through the use of carbines, shotguns, and C4.
