It’s been a long, winding road for Battleblock Theater, the highly anticipated game from The Behemoth, the creators of Alien Hominid and the best-selling Castle Crashers. We’ve seen it at countless events, but every time we’ve asked about a release date, all we’ve gotten were collective shrugs. Well, wonder no more.
With the beta officially kicking off this week for select players, The Behemoth officially confirmed today that the game finally has a release window, and will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade sometime this spring. The company confirmed the release cryptically, in a poem that reads “Mayhaps someone will Spring my friends…Mayhaps they near Release!” We’re not sure what Mayhaps is all about, but, hey, at least the game is finally making its way out there.
