Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate 3 is the Steam Deck’s Most Played Game

Topping the Deck's most popular charts!

Baldur’s Gate 3 significantly impacted players when it was released across the PC realm in August. So much so that even months later, it’s still in the most-played game sections on storefronts. One of its most popular venues is the Steam Deck, as the game has surpassed some of the platform’s best-selling titles to become one of the most played games. This information was shared by the Steam Deck X account, which showed the Top 20 games played on the platform over the past month.

It’s undeniable that Baldur’s Gate 3 has made its rounds as the most popular game on the platform amongst the most popular games. This is surprising, especially considering it beat out Bethesda’s space RPG Starfield in popularity on the handheld.

The Steam Deck platform is still the home for many great titles that players certainly have taken the chance to play, thanks to the system’s portability. Some of September 2023’s most played games, like Vampire Survivors, can be enjoyed in short bursts, while others are RPGs that can be engaged more comfortably through portability, like Fallout 4 and Hogwarts Legacy.

The Steam Deck shows no signs of slowing down, and neither does Baldur’s Gate 3. We’re still waiting on the Xbox release which has been promised to release before the end of 2023. We’ve also learned that a new Steam Deck won’t happen until there is a significant jump in the technology used to power it.
