Assassin’s Creed Odyssey changed the game for the franchise, and for the better. With more RPG elements, being able to choose one’s own protagonist, even choosable love interests – there’s a lot of reasons why fans of the Ubisoft series hailed Odyssey as a comeback title. It looks like the positive change isn’t stopping just there, because a new report suggests that a Story Creator mode is on the way.
With the Fate of Atlantis DLC on the horizon later this month, a now-deleted Reddit post from Community Manager Dominik Voigt revealed something we weren’t quite supposed to know yet.
According to the Ubisoft Community Manager, “We are very happy to present you in exclusivity Story Creator Mode, a community-driven Content feature that will be available to all Assassin’s Creed Odyssey players at a later date.” His post continued on, but was cut off in the screenshot obtained by Twitter user @TheCodexNetwork below:
#AssassinsCreed Odyssey to receive a “Story Creator Mode” which further emphasizes on player choice, according to a post by Community Manager @domvgt on the Social Pulse. Apparently, this is what’s the “story mode” option (seen in previous monthly updates video) was likely about pic.twitter.com/hELAqFjrvK

Given that the latest entry has been focused heavily on player choice, a community-driven content arrival does make sense for the particular experience Ubisoft has offered fans of Odyssey.
Since the post from the Ubisoft Community Manager has since been deleted, all that there is left to do is wait for some form of official confirmation. We’ve also reached out to the studio for comment.
As for the game itself, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with the Fate of Atlantis DLC dropping on the 23rd.
