Assassin’s Creed III is slowly but surely building up energy for its October 30 release, bound to be a huge hit for Ubisoft and its development studio. And while rumors circulate about the fate of the series’ main character Desmond, we discovered another interesting little nugget about the game – it’s getting downloadable content.
An insider’s Gamestop memo indicated that Ubisoft is currently working on a downloadable content structure for the game that is looking to be set up in a similar tone with previous games, using the possibility of a Season Pass. This would allow users access to all the DLC released for the game at a discounted price.
The memo indicates that a “complementary development team” is in the works for the content, and that “with a dedicated team specifically to this content we plan to set the bar for quality DLC in our industry.” The details regarding the pass weren’t yet released, but you can expect multiplayer maps, player skins and possibly even additional weapons.
Look for more information on this DLC soon.
