Apex Legends Season 2 Teases More Dragons, “Flyers,” In New Launch Trailer

The dragons are coming, the dragons are coming! At least in Apex Legends.

Apex Legends season 2 is almost here and Respawn wanted to make sure fans knew just how different the battle royale game will be when dragons – better known as “flyers” in this world – begin their official invasion.

We first saw these flying winged beasts earlier this month when players noticed them at random times hoarding crates. Called “Flyers,” the latest addition also comes bearing Death Boxes, which provides more than enough incentive to take these flying creatures out once and for all. What’s odd, however, is that neither EA nor Respawn has made any public reveal, they just sort of not-so-quietly showed up earlier this month. Which, fair. Still, the launch trailer is our first official look at their role in-game.

With the tagline “Kings Canyon will never be the same,” it’s obvious that Respawn took the disappointing reaction regarding season 1 to heart, making sure that season 2 gives players what they need in order to stay in the battlefield while making sure gameplay is fresh and never dull.

As for the new season, season 2 begins on July 2 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Are you excited to see what Respawn has in store for their free-to-play Apex Legends experience? Hit us up with your thoughts on the evolving state of the game over on Twitter @PrimaGames
