Apex Legends Gets a November Steam Release Date

Steam users will be able to enjoy Apex Legends on the platform starting on November 4. Prior to this, Apex Legends was available on PC through Origin. If you’ve been playing the game through Origin and want to take your items and progress with you to Steam, you’ll be able to do so.

As the announcement post explains:

“If you’ve previously been playing on Origin, you can easily switch back and forth with Steam — all your account progression and unlocks will carry over between the two platforms.”

The release of Apex Legends on Steam coincides with the launch of Season 7. To celebrate both the Steam release and the launch of Season 7, Steam players will be able to get free gun charms inspired by Half-Life and Portal.

To get these, all you’ll need to do is log in during Season 7 and you’ll be able to redeem these rewards. Ahead of the release, you’ll reportedly be able to scoop up some new animated stickers and avatars in Steam’s “Points Shop” all based around Apex Legends.

Animated stickers tend to sell for 1,000 Points, while avatars go for an average of 3,000 Points each. You can earn points by buying items on Steam. For example, you’ll earn 100 points for every $1.00 you spend on Steam.

It’s not just games, you’ll earn points on DLC, soundtracks, in-game items, and so on and so forth. Whenever you spend money on Steam, you’ll earn points. Again, Apex Legends will launch Season 7 on November 4, and will be available for PC gamers on Steam starting on November 4.

To help keep track of the upcoming release, it’s recommended that you wishlist Apex Legends on Steam. You don’t have to, but it can certainly be helpful!
