We’re only a few days away from the launch of Sega’s Aliens: Colonial Marines, the first-person shooter that takes place in the recesses of the popular sci-fi/horror movie franchise. But you can go ahead and get prepared for the influx of upcoming DLC for the game.
Sega has officially confirmed that there will be a Season Pass for the game, which supports all of the map packs and additional content that the developer, Gearbox Software, is putting together for it. It’ll run you $29.99, or 2400 Microsoft points, which is a savings of about 40 percent from what you’d normally pay for it. You’ll get the “Bug Hunt” pack, a new survivor based mode, as part of the deal.
If you want, you can actually hit Wal-Mart on Tuesday and get the “Bug Hunt” content for free. The retailer announced today that it’s a special pack-in deal for those who make the trek to their stores to pick up the first-person shooter…and it’s not a bad bargain. It’s just a shame that the original Aliens movie isn’t included. Maybe for a Game of the Year Edition…
Aliens: Colonial Marines arrives this Tuesday for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The Wii U version is coming later this spring.
