Although it won’t be released until next year, the hype behind Sega’s upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines is definitely building up – especially with Gearbox Software handling development. And today, the companies revealed a new special edition that no Alien fan will want to be without.
The Aliens: Colonial Marines collector’s edition comes with the game, a USCM Dossier, a Collector’s Edition Xeno Hive (slick!) and a collectible Powerloader figurine, along with a batch of exclusive in-game content, including additional Marine customization and a Phase plasma rifle. The only thing missing is a knife stabbing mini-game.
As a bonus, Gamestop has also announced a new pre-order program where you’ll receive an awesome little bonus in the form of four playable characters from the 1986 Aliens film. These include Private Hudson, Corporal Hicks, Private Drake and Sergeant Apone. Ripley’s Flamethrower will also be thrown in for good measure. Hopefully we’ll get a shotgun too…for close encounters.
