Achievement Hunter: Metro Last Light (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3)

Are you ready to help Artyom save what's left of humanity in post-apocalyptic Russia? You'll get 50+ rewards for doing so…
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

Metro Last Light has been a long time coming.  First announced a few years back by THQ, the game has been in development for the longest time.  Upon hearing about THQ’s bankruptcy, we were wondering just what the game’s fate would be… and if it would ever come out.  Thankfully, Deep Silver stepped up and earlier this month released the long-awaited first person shooter to a feverish public, and it was certainly worth the wait.

This is one of those sequels with improvements upon the original, where you’ll need to use darkness as your ally in certain scenarios while taking down enemy soldiers and mutant creatures before they turn you into lunch.  You’ll also need to use tools to your advantage, including a charger to keep your flashlight from going out (the last thing you want to do is get stuck in complete darkness) and fresh filters for your oxygen mask.

This journey isn’t without its rewards.  In addition to facing a few twists and turns (including running into a neo-Nazi group that wants to wipe out the weaker parts of remaining humanity in post-apocalyptic Russia), you’ll earn a number of Achievements and Trophies, depending on which version you’re playing.  50 general Achievements are available to unlock in all, with an additional two available through the more challenging Ranger Mode.  Don’t step up to this mode until you’re absolutely ready because it will test your survival skills to the max.

There are a few minor spoilers ahead, so proceed with caution.  Otherwise, we certainly hope this guide helps you out as there are plenty of great rewards to unlock here.  So into Russia we go…
