Achievement Hunter: Crysis 3 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3)

Whether you're a multiplayer lover or you just want to go on the hunt in single player, there's a lot to unlock in Crytek's latest.

Ever since it came out last month, Crysis 3 has managed to eclipse its predecessor in a number of ways, including larger stage settings, more action than ever before, and the suave introduction of a bow and arrow set, one that can easily lay waste to your enemies better than any given assault rifle.  And, of course, let’s not forget your awesome Nanosuit capabilities, and what you can do with shielding and cloaking to your advantage.

For this week’s Achievement Hunter, we’re checking out the awards you can unlock within the game, from its humble beginnings to the tougher ones available.  We’ve broken them down by section, so get ready to tackle them head on.  Warning: minor spoilers ahead…

Then we have the single player awards, one given by completing certain aspects within the game.  Some are rather specific and easily earnable; others will take time.  Regardless, you’ve got your work cut out for you…

And last but certainly not least, we’ve got a fair share of awards that you can unlock in Crysis 3’s multiplayer mode.  These are all via Public Match only, so you’ll have to work pretty hard to earn them all, but if you’re a master of the bow and arrow – or you know how to use stealth wisely – you should be able to mop up with very little problem.  Without further ado, here are the rest of the Achievements…

Block Party (20 points) – Complete a match in every location in New York

Odd Job (25 points) – Get two kills with one throwable object in the same match

Lord of the Pings (15 points) – Kill 25 enemies with the Pinger

I See Cloaked People (20 points) – Kill 10 Hunters as a CELL operative

Aerial Support (15 points) – Kill 10 enemies using the mounted weapon on the VTOL

Kicking Off the Training Wheels (10 points) – Complete a match using manual armor mode only – no stealth or heavy.

Obviously, the harder Achievements you’ll be chasing after here are likely going to be the multi-task ones in multiplayer (like The Specialist and Going Commando), as well as the higher difficulty ones in single player, dealing with Veteran and Supersoldier difficulty (such as Nanosuit Veteran, Halfway To Hell, Professional Superhero and Bring It On).  However, if you’re savvy with your high-tech weapons (as Crysis fans should be), then you should be able to sweep these up in no time.  We’ll see you in New York City.  Mind the branches.

Crysis 3 is available now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
