Ace Attorney Teaming Up With Professor Layton Later This Year On 3DS

Now the only question is if we'll see it on these shores.

We’ve seen some strange team-ups with video game characters over the years, but can you imagine a puzzle-solving detective working with a determined lawyer? Crazier things have happened.

A report coming from Famitsu Magazine (a popular Japanese publication) indicates that Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney will be released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan around November 29th. In the game, you’ll be able to solve a handful of puzzles using both titular characters while battling familiar enemies from each series.

The game is a collaboration between the Ace Attorney developers at Capcom and the Professor Layton creators at Level 5. Sadly, there’s also no news of a U.S. release, but considering we’re getting a new Professor Layton game this fall (and Ace Attorney 5 next year), it only makes sense that it comes out here.
