Halo Infinite is still on track for a holiday 2020 release despite delay concerns and with all of the reflection on how they want to bring back this Microsoft staple to a place that was beloved by fans, it looks like Infinite is just the start of new Halo experiences. A new Halo is in the works, something in the universe not necessarily tied to Master Chief, as confirmed by a recent job listing.
A recent job post was found over on the careers page for 343 Industries looking for a Senior Producer to “work with our Core Services team to help develop a new project in the Halo universe.” While no other details are supplied at this time, that does bode well for those interesting in all of the changes made to bring Infinite back to what made Halo so special and what that means for the future of this franchise.

The team over at 343 recently provided an update on the status of Infinite regarding any COVID-19-related delays. “We’re removing all the obstacles in our path and tracking well, but need to be mindful of our current limitations and understand that the coronavirus situation may get worse before it gets better. Rest assured that every single one of us is doing everything in our power to continue developing and delivering quality Halo experiences while we adjust to this new way of life.
“Beyond all of that though, please remember that this is bigger than games and bigger than Halo. Practice social distancing whenever possible (like the Blue Spartans above who are staying an Elephant’s length away from each other), wash your hands, and do your best to keep it clean. We’re all in this together.”

With memorial day weekend bringing in tons of crowds to beaches and bars paired with the previous protests against the stay at home orders and the ongoing (and rightful) protests going on now against police brutality, the spread of COVID is far from over so it’s possible the game can still be hit with a delay. That being said, it looks like they are doing everything they can to be realistic about the situation and alter any plans necessary to make that target launch date.
As for Halo: Infinite, we don’t know when we’re going to be getting the new Master Chief adventure exactly outside of a holiday window, but in the meantime, you can check out our Halo: Infinite game hub here to learn more!
