Master Chief's new title will have plenty to talk about.

We’ve already gotten a bunch of Halo 4 news so far earlier today, but that’s just the tip of the Covenant iceberg, it seems, as 343 Industries has discussed, in further detail, what we can expect from the upcoming co-op supported Spartan Ops missions, which will be coming to the game via DLC upon release.

In the missions, you’ll be able to tackle 50 different tasks, with 5 new missions delivered over a period of ten weeks.  The missions will be free of charge, and will add an additional 12 hours of gameplay to Halo 4, expanding on an already robust single player campaign and, of course, addictive versus multiplayer.

“These missions are introduced with a high-quality cinematic video so that you are well-briefed before you embark on your mission,” said a 343 brief.

Other missions are expected to be unveiled outside of the initial 10 week window, but 343 hasn’t confirmed whether that will be paid DLC or not.  It just feels that the set-up for Spartan Ops in the first place is an ideal one.  Said 343, “It’s like getting two campaigns with one game!”

Our excitement for this game feverishly grows.  Look for more well before its release on November 6th.
