2K Sports sent out news this morning that it has concluded the first round of its Perfect Game Challenge for Major League Baseball 2K13.  The competition had quite a few people competing for $250,000, with over 785,000 attempts in all and 2,500 verified perfect games.  That’s a whole lot of strike-outs.

30 winners have been chosen that chose a specific MLB team and each one will walk away with $25,000 as a result.  However, the main competition begins now, where four players – Robert Romanowski (with Arizona), Brian Borromeo (with Atlanta), Steven Welcome (with Baltimore) and Tanner Eidson (with Boston) will now compete in the next round for the chance to win the big prize of $250,000.  It will be held in July during the All-Star Fan Fest, which will take place in New York.

We wish all four competitors the best of luck!  Major League Baseball 2K13 is available now for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
