We’ve known about the new Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U for quite a long time now – but it’s never really gotten an official name. At least, not until this point.
Nintendo has confirmed that the game will be titled The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild when it releases next year for both NX and Wii U. The company then followed suit with a gameplay demo, as well as a new trailer showing Link and company in action.
“The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild breaks boundaries for the franchise and for games as a whole,” said Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. “Where you go, how you get there, the order in which you do it, and the items, weapons and approaches used to solve puzzles and defeat enemies are all up to you.”
In addition, the company has revealed more than 20 minutes of gameplay, which can be found below.
