Top 5 Icons in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team

The best of the best

Icons have a special place in the hearts of EA FC 24 Ultimate Team players. These are special cards of retired legends, and they’re extremely popular due to their incredible in-game stats and boosted contribution to squad chemistry. Here’s the list of the five best icons you can use in your squad (irrespective of their versions) in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team.

Ronaldinho Gaucho

The Samba magician is absolutely incredible to use on the field, all thanks to his weak foot and skill moves. No matter which version of the card you use, Ronaldinho can excel in the wide positions. He’s popularly referred to as the ‘Step over King’, and that particular dribbling move feels completely broken for his card. Due to his incredible in-game stats and animations, Ronaldinho is used heavily in the pro scene, and he’s usually extinct in the Ultimate Team market.

Ronaldo

The OG GOAT of strikers, the Brazilian Ronaldo is simply outstanding to use as an attacker. For a long time, players were restricted to his Base Icon card, before EA Sports released the TOTY version. Ronaldo has everything required to become a top meta attacker – finishing, dribbling, and pace. His ability to bypass defenders with skill moves is next to none. Like Ronaldinho, Ronaldo is a darling of pro players.

Paolo Maldini

In the current meta, it makes sense to employ defenders who work well with the match engine. When it comes to center-backs, there’s perhaps no one better than Paolo Maldini. Earlier, there were rumors that Maldini isn’t as good this year as on previous occasions. Those myths were squashed pretty quickly as EA Sports released better versions of the Italian, and there was a dedicated SBC as well. Maldini isn’t as expensive as the other names on this list, but it’s best not to sleep on him.

Pele

When it comes to Icons in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, players can always rely on the Brazilians. Pele excels the most as a CAM due to his base positions, but he can also play as a striker. He already had an amazing base version, and EA Sports has also released other promo versions. Like Ronaldinho and Ronaldo, Pele can often become extinct in the Ultimate Team market. While Pele is incredible to use, it does require a bit of skill to get the best out of this Brazilian.

Patrick Vieira

The Frenchman Patrick Vieira is the best defensive midfielder in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team. His base Icon has already been used heavily, and the TOTY version is even better. It has some amazing playstyles, along with meta in-game stats. The M/H work rates make him a great card for beginners as well, especially in the current in-game meta. That said, he’s extremely expensive to get in Ultimate Team, so players will require a lot of coins or good luck from the casino SBCs.
