Escape from Tarkov has practically pioneered a whole new type of genre in its PvPvE extraction shooter, and there are no competitors in sight. Some players wish to play Escape from Tarkov but either cannot afford to spend that much on a game or want something new.
It is hard to replicate what Escape from Tarkov has done, especially since they already have a decade-long headstart on the game. However, a few games will scratch that itch of playing Escape from Tarkov since they are quite similar. Here’s a list of games you can play similar to Escape from Tarkov.
Best Games Similar to Escape from Tarkov You’ll Enjoy
Delta Force

Delta Force is the most recently released game out of the whole list. The game is a PvPvE extraction shooter game but with more emphasis on fast-paced shooting mechanics than tactical realism. Delta Force has several operators with skill-defining abilities that can help the team recon the area or engage in combat.
While it is a PvPvE extraction shooter, most players also compare the game’s gunplay to Call of Duty. However, it has several RPG elements similar to Tarkov, where you finish quests, a leveling system, and an engaging player economy.
Arena Breakout Infinite

Arena Breakout: Infinite could be considered one of the main competitors to Escape from Tarkov, especially when their X pages (formerly known as Twitter) had an online feud with each other during Escape from Tarkov’s controversial announcement.
ABI is the most similar game to Tarkov as it borrowed several mechanics, items, and systems from the game but made it a little more fluid, which coincidentally is one of the causes of their online feud. Arena Breakout: Infinite still needs to add much-needed depth to even come close to Escape from Tarkov, but it is a great free-to-play game with tons of microtransactions.
Grey Zone Warfare

Grey Zone Warfare follows the footsteps of ABI and tries to get some of the market share of the PvPvE extraction shooter space. While it isn’t free-to-play like ABI, it looks much better in terms of realism. When you reach the endgame, there is a long grind, but for some players, this isn’t a bad thing.
However, it also suffers from a lack of content compared to Escape from Tarkov, but at this point, every game will be in “catch-up” mode to get close to Escape from Tarkov.
Ready or Not

Moving away from all the PvPvE extraction shooters, Ready or Not is an intense tactical FPS game where you play as a team of police units that are called in to confront difficult situations. In this hyper-realistic tactical FPS game, you’ll learn to defuse unique situations and use different strategies.
While it might not have the extraction shooter and RPG elements like Escape from Tarkov, the gunplay and tactical realism make it eerily similar to EFT.
Six Days in Fallujah

Like Ready or Not, Six Days in Fallujah is a hyper-realistic tactical FPS game loosely based on true stories from one of history’s most gruesome urban battles. The game had some help from ex-marines in the battle themselves so the developers could completely encapsulate the immersion of urban warfare.
If you love hyper-realistic games with some storytelling, Six Days in Fallujah is the perfect game to try out.
STALKER 2

There’s a small community of both Escape from Tarkov and STALKER fans that always compare the two developers with each other. As both games feature realistic gameplay, they are being compared to how “buggy” the game feels and how you should expect years before they get fixed because they prioritize “new” content rather than fixing minor issues.
Nevertheless, both games have some similarities regarding the RPG elements. You can do whatever you want, but you can also progress whenever you want. The setting for STALKER 2 is similar to Escape from Tarkov, as it is almost like a post-apocalyptic world where you need to finish missions and escape.
Hell Let Loose

Hell Let Loose is a hardcore realistic first-person shooter where you battle with over 100 players in a World War-type battle with tanks, artillery, and many other mechanics. While you can compare the game more to games like PUBG or Battlefield, it features resource-based elements that can sway the tides of battle.
Arma Reforger

Arma Reforger is a fast-paced Cold War-based shooter where hundreds of players can fight over big archipelagos in a massive open-world sandbox. Game Masters can get creative by placing unique events, missions, and situations to challenge players, which brings unlimited replayability as anything can happen in this sandbox world.
Rainbow Six Siege

If you are looking to play a competitive game but want a similar feel to Escape from Tarkov, Rainbow Six Siege would be the best game. While there is Escape from Tarkov Arena, Rainbow Six Siege is more tactical and fast-paced, as long as you are willing to learn all the operators in the game.
The jiggle-peeks and left and right peeks are extremely similar to Escape from Tarkov, and you’ll fit in just fine when you are playing R6S immediately.
Hunt: Showdown 1896

The Hunt: Showdown 1896 has come a long way since its early access launch. It is an extraction shooter with realistic combat set in the year 1896. However, the realism might turn some players off as there are also twisted monsters and evil.
In this game, you’ll also look to finish quests or bounties while fighting other players, AI bots, and bosses as you risk everything in every game. The game even had a shocking and unlikely collaboration with Post Malone. It might take a while to get used to if you are coming from Escape from Tarkov, but definitely give it time and it’ll grow on you.
