Best Sniper Rifles Loadouts in MW3

Sniping has always been one of the most popular ways to play in the Call of Duty franchise. Thanks to the Carry Forward system that merges your previous weapons and other cosmetic items from MW2 into MW3, it is packed with great Sniper Rifles. The extreme stopping force and one-shot potential of Snipers are what make them the ideal choice for players who like to use a vantage point to observe enemies and look for the best opportunity to take them out instead of going out in the field blasting bullets.

If you’re also the former, check out these Sniper Rifles we have provided with the additional loadout equipment that goes best with them to maximize your kills on any map.

1. XRK Stalker

Regardless of the type of player you are, this rifle is suitable for most situations. An all-rounder, if you will. Statistics prove it is one of the Meta Weapons in MW3 currently. That is what this loadout revolves around.

  • Primary: XRK Stalker
    • Ammunition: .50 Cal High Grain Rounds
    • Barrel: KLX-09 Short Barrel
    • Bolt: XRK Stalker Light Bolt
    • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
    • Stock: No Stock
  • Secondary: Rival-9
  • Vest: Overkill Vest (two primary weapons)
  • Gloves: Marksman Gloves (reduced sway and flinch)
  • Boots: Covert Sneakers (silent footsteps while moving)
  • Gear: Ghost T/V Camo (hides you from the enemy radar)
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade (disorients and slows enemies)
  • Lethal: Semtex (can save you from other stalkers)

2. KATT AMR

One of the Snipers that get unlocked pretty early in the game (Level 4), KATT-AMR trades mobility and fire rate for its tremendous damage. You can one-shot players without any additional ammunition boost whatsoever. That is not the case for most of the other Sniper Rifles. If you prefer aggressive sniping, this is the one for you.

Check out the loadout we have provided to compensate for its lack of handling:

  • Primary: KATT AMR
    • Barrel: Perdition 24″ Short Barrel
    • Bolt: Requiem -9 Heavy Bolt
    • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
    • Stock: Tactical Stock Pad
    • Underbarrel: Cornerstone Bipod
  • Secondary: Renetti
  • Vest: Infantry Vest (increased tac sprint duration)
  • Gloves: Commando Gloves (reload while sprinting)
  • Boots: Stalker Boots (increased strafe and ADS speed)
  • Gear: Bone Conduction Headset (helps in hearing enemy footsteps)
  • Tactical: Flash Grenade (blinds and deafens enemies)
  • Lethal: Proximity Mine (can save you from other stalkers)

3. Longbow

This rifle was among the most popular in the game’s early stages. You could see most sniping players boasting this gun to wreck their enemies. That has certainly not changed much. It’s a good alternative to XRK Stalker with its amazing versatility in major stats. It’s good for quick scoping as well.

Apply this loadout to decrease its weaknesses while increasing its strengths:

  • Primary: Longbow
    • Bolt: SA-M Quickbolt
    • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
    • Magazine: 10-Round Mag
    • Muzzle: HMRES Mod Suppressor
    • Stock: No Stock
  • Secondary: WSP Stinger
  • Vest: Infantry Vest (increased tac sprint duration)
  • Gloves: Assault Gloves (good for quick scoping)
  • Boots: Covert Sneakers (silent footsteps while moving)
  • Gear: Tac Mask (reduced effectiveness from enemy grenades)
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade (disorients and slows enemies)
  • Lethal: Frag Grenade (cookable run-of-the-mill grenade)

4. KV Inhibitor

KV Inhibitor is the only Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle MW3 has to offer. That means you can fire more than one shot without reloading each time, but keeping the target consistent on the other end of the barrel will be hard. This can be frustrating sometimes. That is why you should use this loadout that focuses on recoil control above all else.

  • Primary: KV Inhibitor
    • Barrel: Kastovia JEK-40 Barrel
    • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
    • Rear Grip: Broadside Factory Grip
    • Stock: IVANOV Wood Stock
    • Underbarrel: SL Skeletal Vertical Grip
  • Secondary: Cor. 45
  • Vest: Demolition Vest (resupply consumables every 25 sec)
  • Gloves: Quick-Grip Gloves (quick weapon swapping)
  • Boots: Lightweight Boots (increased movement and swimming speed)
  • Gear: Mag Holster (improved reload speed)
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade (disorients and blinds enemies)
  • Lethal: Claymore (proximity-activated explosive)

5. MCPR-300

The MCPR-300 might not be the best Sniper Rifle in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, but it’s available by default at the start of the game. It’s still a pretty solid pick for a good chunk of players due to its highly mobile nature and easier handling.

We recommend this loadout with this rifle while you level up and unlock the better ones:

  • Primary: MCPR-300
    • Ammunition: .300 Mag Explosive
    • Barrel: 17.5″ Orca Barrel
    • Bolt: Cronen Smooth Bolt
    • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
    • Rear: Cronen Cheetah Grip
  • Secondary: TYR
  • Vest: Demolition Vest (resupply consumables every 25 sec)
  • Gloves: Scavenger Gloves (resupply ammo from fallen players)
  • Boots: Running Sneakers (increased tac sprint speed)
  • Gear: Ghost T/V Camo (hides you from the enemy radar)
  • Tactical: Battle Rage (basically rage mode, great for beginners)
  • Lethal: Throwing knives (good with scavenger gloves)

And there you have it. The five best class loadouts for Sniper Rifles in Modern Warfare 3. If you are aiming to play Ranked Mode and get to the top of the leaderboard, then you should look for the best weapon loadouts and classes.
