DMZ is back in Call of Duty with the release of Modern Warfare 4 and Safes are among the best places to collect loot, if you can find them.

The sprawling DMZ map includes plenty of buildings, offices, garages, and more to explore and loot, with Safes hidden away among them, protecting some powerful gear, so it’s natural to want to hunt them down.

If you’re looking for tips on where to find Safes in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ, here’s some tips to help.

Where to Find Safes in MW4 DMZ

Unfortunately, there’s not a guaranteed way to locate a safe in DMZ as their spawns are ever-changing, but there are spots to check that often a higher chance.

Locked buildings, particularly those that have a Rare key to find, often have a Safe inside, while secure buildings like banks, offices, and similar can also have Safes hidden away inside.

It really is just pot luck, though the good news is the formula is different from DMZ previously, as you can open Safes almost instantaneously and won’t need to use a drill and defend them from enemy players.

Areas with a higher Threat level are also good spots to check for Safes, and for better loot in general, but it’s unwise to venture too deep without being properly equipped, as the risk levels increase dramatically.

How to Unlock Locked Doors in MW4 DMZ

Unsurprisingly, to unlock locked doors in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ you’ll need a key, which are found scattered across the map, and these locked doors are often home to some stellar loot.

Keys come in different rarities, with Blue Keys more common and offering decent rewards, while Purple Keys provide access to top-tier loot, which, a lot of the time, includes a Safe to crack open.

There’s no guarantee a building that’s locked will have a Safe, however, and it often comes down to random exploration, but once you learn the location of a Safe, you can check that spot on each map to see if it’s there again.
