While entirely optional, the locked Key Codes and discoverable Notes in the Modern Warfare 4 campaign provide a hefty to-do list for anyone pushing for full completion, and some are easier to tick off than others.

The Dog Tags in the Escape mission of MW4 are a particularly simple objective to meet, especially if you know exactly where to look, like this guide details.

How to Recover Dog Tags in MW4 Escape

The Achievement and Trophy for recovering the Dog Tags in the Escape mission in Modern Warfare 4 is easy to miss, though you can always go back and replay the mission at any point.

Once you know where to look, however, it’s not too much of a challenge, and you won’t have to complete anything too strenuous to complete your objective.

Here’s the step-by-step process for gathering the Dog Tags in Modern Warfare 4 to earn the Never Forgotten Achievement or Trophy.

  1. Progress through the mission until you reach an office where a lone soldier is inside. Hide beneath the overhanging bench and wait for him to receive a call and leave.
  2. Head inside the vacated room and find a note on the bench, revealing the Key Code required for later in the mission.
  3. Continue through the mission until you rescue Ghost in the interrogation room. From here on, keep an ear out for a key piece of dialogue.
  4. Continue progression until you hear the dialogue between Price and Ghosty about not leaving Gaz behind.
  5. Once you exit the barracks, look on the right-hand side of the hallway for an unlocked door.
  6. Head inside and open the safe using the code 8410 to collect Gaz’s dog tags.
  7. The Achievement/Trophy will now unlock, and you can now continue as normal for the remainder of the mission.
