The latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise has landed, with Modern Warfare 4 bringing DMZ back as one of the core modes.

The PvPvE experience has plenty to offer, but a lot to learn, and if you’re looking for some tips and hints, you’re in the right place.

MW4 DMZ Tips & Hints

Dual Operators

DMZ allows you to have several Operators in one go, with the maximum amount increasing as you progress and if you own the Vault Edition, and you should definitely utilize this feature.

The ideal approach is to have one main Operator you use for all the big objectives and tasks, with another Operator used when you’re doing basic runs for supplies or gear, as it won’t matter if you lose them.

Free Loadouts

Free Loadouts in DMZ are available at any time, providing you with the basic equipment you need, including a Small Backpack, a 1-Plate Armor Vest, and a random weapon.

While you won’t be dominating with this loadout, it doesn’t cost a penny, and is a great choice anytime you’re diving in to resource hunt or complete more basic objectives, without the risk of losing your best gear.

Story Missions

Story Missions in DMZ drive forward the narrative in the mode, but they’re also a great way to obtain valuable loot, cash, and boost your account.

There are six missions in total to complete initially, with three available immediately, the next pair unlocking once the initial trio have been ticked off, and a final mission when the previous five are crossed off the list.

Save Your Cash

Cash is king in DMZ and, early on, there isn’t much need to splash it out, and you should save it for FOB Upgrades or as a safety net if your main Operator goes MIA and needs saving.

With the early offerings in DMZ being very basic, there’s no need to throw cash on the wall on small upgrades, and you should instead wait for better options to be available.

Resource Hoarding

There’s a long, long list of materials to loot and craft with in DMZ, and while you can offload them for quick cash, it’s better to hold onto everything for when you’ll inevitably need it later down the line.

There’s nothing worse than going to craft something, realizing your short of what’s required, and remembering you sold it off previously, so avoid that altogether by hoarding your resources.

Do Your Orders

DMZ Orders in Modern Warfare 4 are the first basic missions you’ll be introduced to, with several pages of basic objectives to tick off, which provide a significant chunk of XP to boost your account.

They also serve as an introduction to everything that DMZ has to offer, so it’s an easy way to get to grips with the mode.

Upgrade Your FOB

Your Field Operating Base (FOB) in DMZ is much more than a pre-game lobby, as it serves as an area to track your progress, prepare your loadouts, and craft new gear.

A wide arrange of FOB upgrades are available, increasing the amount of space in your Stash, reducing the cost to rescue MIA Operators, increasing the maximum amount of money you can hold, and plenty more.
