Goodbyes and Small Regrets
There are several branching points here, including your decision on whether Chongyun will take the drink from the old man.
Here’s the gist:
- If you had Chongyun drink the beverage, he’ll feel sick. After examining the strange mist/talking to couples on Wuwang Hill, tell him: “Let me help you find a place to rest.” This will present you with two more options on which materials to use for his illness (Cryo Slime Condensate or Cryo Whopperflower Nectar). You’ll have a fight with the mobs that you chose, followed by a discussion with the people pretending to be ghosts.
- Alternatively, you can just tell Chongyun that you’ll drink the beverage alone. Examine the mist/talk to couples as you normally would. Then, go to the marker to find the man who’s trying to spook others.
After talking to the peeps pretending to be ghosts, tell Chongyun the truth. There are two additional choices:
- “Remember that strange mist we found earlier? I would like to investigate it further.”
- “Right, let’s head back.”
Note: These dialogue choices in Chongyun’s Hangout Event will only appear since (a) he didn’t drink the beverage, or (b) because you were able to cure his illness.
If you decide to investigate the strange mist, an actual ghost of a child would appear.
Talk to the spirit, then talk to Chongyun. This gives you the “Goodbyes” ending.
If you decide to just head back, this will conclude your investigation. The Traveler and Chongyun will part ways.
You’ll obtain the “Small Regrets” ending for Chongyun’s Hangout Event in Genshin Impact.
