Dragon Ball Card Warriors is a fun game that is trapped in a making of its own design. There are minor quibbles like not being able to check your own ranking, and even some gameplay related ones like how there is no interaction with your opponent when it is not your turn. Overall though, Card Warriors is a fun and unique game that I feel is unfortunately doomed. First by being attached to a full price game, and second by not being on mobile. This game could do well and even be successful on a mobile platform. It won’t meet its true potential by being shackled to consoles and PC though. If the game was easier to pick up and play quickly, then even the awful Gacha rates could at least be dealt with a little better. As it stands now though, it is hard to imagine a future where Dragon Ball Card Warriors can last, even as much as I want it to. You can pick up Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot now on Steam.
