Zombies has become one of the most popular additions ever featured in the Call of Duty franchise, establishing a core community of fans, and has returned on many occasions over the years.

If you’re looking for the details on whether Zombies features in MW4, we’ve got everything you need to know.

Is Zombies in Modern Warfare 4?

No, Modern Warfare 4 does not feature any sort of zombies mode, with neither the standard round-based approach or open-world, like MWZ, provided.

This means Modern Warfare 4 is the first Call of Duty title since 2022 not to feature Zombies, as Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7 all featured the mode.

MW3’s Zombies was a different approach with MWZ, an open-world, PvE extraction-style survival mode, while the past two Black Ops titles have featured a more familiar feel.

However, neither mode will be featured in Modern Warfare 4, with Infinity Ward not utilizing it.

What Game Modes Are In Modern Warfare 4?

Modern Warfare 4 features a variety of game modes, so it shouldn’t feel like you’re missing out with the absence of Zombies.

Campaign Mode will be the starting point for the majority of players, particularly as it’s the main mode featured in the first early access window, and continues the story of Task Force 141 after the series was rebooted.

Meanwhile, Multiplayer is exactly what you’ll expect it to be, featuring a variety of modes including Team Deathmatch, Headquarters, Domination, Search and Destroy, and more. Additionally, Warzone will also be updated.

Finally, DMZ is the extraction-based mode featured in Modern Warfare 4, which will have some similarities with MWZ, albeit with a focus on enemies that are less sci-fi and more realistic.
