ARK: Survival Ascended – All Difficulty Levels Explained

With any open-world survival game such as ARK, there are going to be various levels where players can venture throughout the game. This will vary from player to player, and it’ll shake up how you play and how careful you’ll have to be in the wild.

ARK bolsters numerous levels of difficulty for players, and rather than the standard Easy, Medium, Hard, etc. Instead, ARK uses a point scale from 0.5 all the way up to 5.0, and it’ll be expressed by difficulty values.

This may seem confusing at the onset of your ARK adventure, but players will quickly realize that the in-game slider is where you’ll be able to change the difficulty.

The difficulty itself is primarily going to affect the levels of the dinosaurs that will spawn in your world.
