Star Wars fan, this feature lists all of the Heroes and Villains in Star Wars: Battlefront, including Han Solo and Darth Vader. We provide each character’s signature weapons and abilities to gain the advantage in battle.

The following characters become available after you pick up a special token during a match and activate it. From there, you take control and attempt to kill many enemies as possible within the limited amount of time. Fortunately, Heroes and Villains absorb more damage, giving you the opportunity to take risks.

Darth Vader

The most powerful Sith in the galaxy doesn't need much of an introduction. With his Force powers and glowing red lightsaber, Vader deals plenty of damage, even though he lacks running ability. No matter, because his strength more than makes up for the lack of speed, and his Saber Throw and Force Choke give him plenty of range.

Force Choke: With this ability, Vader picks up a single enemy and literally chokes the life out of him. If you’re the victim there's no way to get out of this, so once Vader grabs you it's lights out. On the positive side, fellow teammates can pelt Darth Vader with laser fire while he crushes your larynx.

Saber Throw: Vader throw his lightsaber like a boomerang and the energy weapon hits everyone it flies into, while eventually returning to him so he can follow up with strong melee damage. It may not be the most powerful ability in his arsenal, but it's excellent for taking out enemies from mid-range.

Heavy Strike: If you need to slaughter enemies up close, try this spin attack, which lets Vader perform a 360-degree turn and take out anyone with his lightsaber, provided they're in the strike zone. Save this ability for when you're surrounded.

Luke Skywalker

Luke carries his green-colored lightsaber from Return of the Jedi and makes use of different abilities. Instead of a Force Choke, he uses Force Push, which can easily fling enemies aside. If you're skilled enough, you can make them collide with a vehicle, such as a TIE Fighter – destroying it in the process.

Force Push: With this, Luke can send targets flying with a powerful shove, depending on their range. Do this with enemies nearby to take advantage of the full effect It also works on groups of opponents closely packed together.

Saber Rush: Luke lunges forward with a devastating Saber blow. This is powerful enough to hurt even stronger enemies, although you'll have narrow range in terms of how it's executed. Make sure to properly point at a target before letting loose. Otherwise, stick with melee strikes until you see an opportunity to strike.

Heavy Strike: Like Vader, Skywalker relies on a 360-degree spin to hit everything around him, provided targets are in his short range. It's helpful when you become surrounded.

Boba Fett

Never mind this Jedi business! It's time for the galaxy’s iconic Bounty Hunter to leave his mark. Boba Fett has plenty of firepower to singe his enemies, and he can also get around with ease thanks to his jetpack, which can be activated for short amounts of time to help him cover more ground. His armor, meanwhile, lets him take plenty of damage before succumbing.

Wrist Rocket: This works kind of like a grenade, with enough explosive power to put anyone out of his or her misery. He fires a wrist-like rocket towards his target. It's great for taking down opponents quickly, including stronger Heroes like Luke Skywalker.

Flame Thrower: Burn, baby, burn! When this is activated, you can fry anyone a short range away with a flame burst. Your best bet is to use it in narrow hallways, or taking down enemies after landing from a jetpack jump, then taking off again as you watch them crumple to the ground.

Jetpack: This handy piece of equipment lets Boba Fett cover a lot of ground, and reach places his enemies cannot access. Use this when you want to go after more enemies on another level, or need to get around large structures by going over them.

Han Solo

All-around scoundrel and Millennium Falcon pilot may not look as ready for battle as the Jedi and Sith characters, but he can still hold his own, thanks to Solo’s trademark blaster and a couple of other abilities.

Rapid Fire: Unleash rapid fire shots from Han Solo’s blaster, hitting multiple targets in succession. This is great when you have large groups ahead of you, or need to clear a hallway filled with enemy soldiers.

Lucky Shot: Like Boba Fett's Wrist Rocket, the Lucky Shot gives you a powerful blast to crush the other team. You'll be able to send a fiery explosion towards enemies and take several players out at once. This is good for open spaces, although more enclosed areas work, since enemies within the blast radius take damage.

Shoulder Charge: Once activated, Han Solo mows down enemies using a shoulder-led running attack, which lasts for a few seconds. This is good for enemies who get close to Han, particularly in groups. Anyone want to go Stormtrooper bowling?

Leia Organa

Like her darling Han Solo, Princess Leia can hold her own in battle with blaster in hand. She's also a good support character when it comes to assisting teammates, thanks to her ability to generate a shield or call in an extra Power-Up Star Card.

Supply Drop: By activating this, you'll be able to summon a Power-Up Star Card for use with Leia’s fellow troopers. Save this ability for when you have fellow teammates nearby, since it can help get them out of trouble depending on the card. You might even summon another Hero if you're lucky.

Enhanced Squad Shield: With this, Leia generates a Squad Shield that takes more damage and provides better protection than the typical shield. Guard a highly defended position, or keep a few soldiers safe in an open area.

Trooper Bane: While not as explosive as Solo's Lucky Shot, this is a particularly helpful item that can take down multiple enemies. In addition, it penetrates shields.

Emperor Palpatine

"Give in to your hate!" Everyone fears the Emperor, especially when he makes use of electrical powers and a devastating Force Dash. Do not underestimate the old guy!

Imperial Resources: Like the Supply Drop, this lets one of Palpatine's fellow troops use a power-up. However, he drops it directly, allowing anyone nearby to make use of it. Have teammates protect Palpatine during the drop.

Chain Lightning: Perhaps the most powerful move in Palpatine’s arsenal, this unleashes lightning that can hit one target at first, then spread to other targets. This is particularly helpful against groups of enemies in a small space, or a troop rushing at you.

Force Dash: Palpatine gets around quickly, pushing himself forward with great acceleration. If you're pursuing soldiers or need to reach a checkpoint in a hurry, activate Force Dash
