Sea of Thieves will release worldwide on March 20, just a few short weeks from now. In preparation for the final release, RARE has been issuing several scale tests and beta tests to help make sure the game is ready to go when the final version hits near the end of March. Another scale test has been set and here is everything you need to know about the Sea of Thieves beta start and end times.

Closed Beta Start and End Times

The first major wave of testing kicked off last month, and Rare has done a great job of continuing to support the community and test the servers to make sure there aren’t any hiccups at release. Just last week they held a massive scale test that ended on Sunday. This weekend they’ve got another scale test set to run, and it’s already kicked off, allowing players to dive into the sea-faring fun of Sea of Thieves right now.

The latest scale test for Sea of Thieves has already kicked off and will be available for players to enjoy until February 25 at 2AM PST/ 5AM EST. This means you have almost all weekend to dive in and hunt for booty with your favorite crew mates.

There are some things that players will want to keep in mind when they head off on their journeys this weekend, though. Remember that this is a scale test, and as such the servers are bound to be pushed to the limits as much as possible. The entire point of this test is to make sure the servers can handle the player load, which means you’ll want to cause as much trouble as possible.

We’re not sure yet if this will be the final scale test for the game. We do know that RARE has mentioned doing multiple tests leading up to the game’s final release, which means there could still be more scale tests like this planned out in the future. For now, though, it’s time to grab your crew, hop aboard your ship, and set sail. Be sure to check out the system requirements for Sea of Thieves to make sure your PC can handle it, and make sure you keep an eye on the horizon with our Sea of Thieves game hub to make sure you have the latest and most up-to-date information on the game available.
