Red Dead Redemption 2 is loaded with secrets and Easter eggs for players to discover along their journey. One strange encounter that players can experience is the Feral Man, who some describe as a werewolf due to his circumstances. If you’re curious and want to meet this Feral Man yourself, we’ll explain where you can go do to so in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Where to Find the Feral Man
While trekking through the woods in Roanoke Valley during a full moon, listen closely for the sound of howling. Not from wolves, but from a man. The sound is coming from the Feral Man, a nude, rabid runaway who travels with a pair of grey wolves by his side. Players can encounter the elusive wolf man in Roanoke Valley on the northeast side of the map, just northwest of Annesburg on the west side of the river.
The Feral Man doesn’t take too kindly to strangers, so if you encounter him out in the woods, he will quickly flee towards his home–a dank cave not to far from where he hangs out in the forest. Follow him to the cave, and the Feral Man will scream at you to leave, sicking his pair of wolves on you in defense. He may attack you as well, in which case you can hog-tie him to keep him in place while you deal with his furry companions.
After you neutralize the wolves, the Feral Man will curl up in fetal position on the ground, wailing and crying in his vulnerable state. Search the cave to find the Runaway’s Diary, which outlines how the Feral Man came to live with a pair of wolf pups at a young age.
At this point, how you choose to deal with the Feral Man is up to you, assuming you didn’t already kill him. While this may not be the strangest encounter in Red Dead Redemption 2, it’s certainly one for the books.
