Metal Gear Survive – How to Level Up

When you first start out in Metal Gear Survive’s online mode you’ll begin at ranked level 10. From here you’ll need to earn a specific time of currency if you want to level up. It can be a little confusing at the start, but don’t worry, we’ve got all the details here. In this article we’ll go over what that currency is, how to get it, and how to spend it and basically how to level up in Metal Gear Survive.

How to Level up in Metal Gear Survive

Leveling up in Metal Gear Survive will require you to gather a material called Kuban Energy. There are a couple of different ways to gather this item, with the main ways being to complete solo or online missions in the game. This will allow you to earn Kuban Energy, which you can then spend to level your character up.

Gaining levels isn’t the only reason that you’ll want to gather Kuban Energy. Every time that you level up you’ll also earn a single skill point, which you can then allocate to different abilities and talents in the Survivor Page of your menu. There are a lot of good talents in Metal Gear Survive for you to choose from, and the most useful will include talents that increase your Strength, Vitality, Dexterity, and Endurance.

You can purchase each of the items that we’ve listed above up to five different times, which will make your survivor that much stronger. You can also check out additional skills that you can purchase in the game, which will help you in different ways as you survive the hordes of zombies and look for materials to upgrade your base with.

Honestly, the best way to see which skills fit you best is to hop into a game and see what you like. This will give you a good indication of the playstyle that you want to use, and you can then unlock skills that you think will be useful for your particular style from there. Not only will this maximize the amount of time you spend learning about the skills, but it will also reduce the amount of wasted skill points that you come across, as not every skill with be useful to you as a player.
