Update: Fortnite has posted another Season 4 teaser, this time adding a new superhero to the image. Check out the second teaser below.

Original story: It appears that Fortnite update v3.6, which went live earlier this week, has secretly brought forth the end times in Battle Royale. Yesterday, the official Fortnite account tweeted an image of what appears to be an emergency alert screen with a llama on it. The same day, television sets broadcasting this image with strange audio began to crop up all across the island in Fortnite, potentially signaling the meteor strikes that players have begun seeing lately.

With the end of Season 3 just around the corner, players have been speculating that the meteor sightings and strange occurrences in Fortnite are somehow tied to the upcoming launch of Season 4. Epic has since fueled the excitement with another cryptic tweet today that features an image of a masked person within a stylized falling meteor. The tweet reads: “Battle. Adapt. Win. Season 4 Coming Soon.”

Fortnite Season 4 Superheroes Meteor

The teaser seems to imply a superhero theme for Fortnite Season 4. This may mean a new lineup of superhero-themed cosmetic items for the Season 4 Battle Pass, or even some sort of new game mode or event. Whatever the case may be, fans will want to keep an eye on Fortnite Battle Royale over the next few days to see what unfolds.

Epic hasn’t announced the official release date for Fortnite Season 4, but with Season 3 wrapping up on April 30, we can likely expect an update on Season 4 early next week. Until then, now is the time to finish up your Season 3 Battle Pass to unlock its unique rewards if you haven’t done so already.
