Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 brought its own unique flavor to the battle royale genre with Blackout and players have been absolutely loving it so far since launch. For those FPS fans that haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, Treyarch is offering the chance to all month long with Blackout going free for the entire month of April.

This isn’t the first time that the Blackout mode has gone free, but for those that missed out on the January offer — April is the time to shine. The free period for Blackout begins today and will last all the way until the end of the month, giving ample time for those with a competitive edge to show off those skills and claim the number one spot in this high-intensity PvP format.

Haven’t checked out Blackout at all yet? For this mode, Treyarch took the standard last man standing forumla and combined it with the classic Black Ops touch. From familiar combat styles, to intriguing specialists, the massive battle royale experience proves that it’s not just another game with this particular mode tacked on. For those that love Black Ops and want a new challenge, Blackout is the perfect change to indulge in both — and now, for free!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Later this month, players can also look forward to the addition of the beloved Alcatraz map on the PlayStation 4 first with the Xbox One and PC players being able to take part a week later.

For more about the game itself:

“Black Ops is back! Featuring gritty, grounded, fluid Multiplayer combat, the biggest Zombies offering ever with three full undead adventures at launch, and Blackout, where the universe of Black Ops comes to life in one massive battle royale experience featuring the largest map in Call of Duty history, signature Black Ops combat, characters, locations and weapons from the entire Black Ops series.”
