Top 10 Characters That Look Like Me IRL, For Real

I mean, they're LITERALLY just me.

You know, it’s always fun finding video game characters that look like yourself while playing through the latest blockbuster or your backlog of retro games. Over the years, I’ve noticed that a fair number of companies are using my likeness without asking my permission, so it’s time to gather them all together and finally find out how many characters actually look like me in games both old and new.

A Variety of Game Characters That Literally Are Just Me

Below, you’ll find a full list of characters that look exactly like me in real life, so let’s get ready to see exactly what we’re up for.

10: Clive Rosfield – Final Fantasy 16

I already know what you’re thinking; “Shaun, there’s no way you’re this strikingly handsome in real life,” and to that, I would say you’re wholly incorrect. I literally look exactly like Clive, so now you may be feeling a little silly. It’s okay, I forgive you.

9: Chris Redfield – Resident Evil 5, Specifically

Fun fact: even though I was only 17 when Resident Evil 5 came out, Capcom was literally watching what I did on boring nights in rural Wisconsin when they took inspiration for Chris Redfield in Resident Evil 5, down to the boulder punching. That was my nightly activity for years, so just know that I absolutely could outpunch a Resident Evil character if it came down to it.

8: Solid Snake – Metal Gear Solid Series

Yes, I know this is a picture of Big Boss instead of Solid Snake. I mean, every time a picture of Solid Snake is shown online, it’s normally a picture of Big Boss, so I may as well join in on the fun, especially since they did a complete facial scan of my beautiful mug to make sure that he looked as realistic as possible in the upcoming Delta remake of Snake Eater.

Okay… I have to come clean, these characters look nothing like me. I can’t keep leading you all on, especially during the Christmas season. Let’s get into the actual list of characters that look like me, so you can see the man behind the mask.

Characters that ACTUALLY Look Like Me In Gaming

Below, you’ll see the harsh reality of characters that legitimately just look like me in real life, picked by yours truly. Let’s dive in and get ready for the actual list this time around.

10: A Mysterious Hacker – DecaPolice

The first time I saw this greasy goblin show up during the Nintendo Direct, I unironically got like 12 messages from coworkers instantly being like, “IT’S SHAUN”, so the Mysterious Hacker takes the 10th spot on characters that are literally just me.

9: Mr. Big – NARC

Fun fact: I wasn’t even born when NARC when WMS Electronics made the game, but they just knew exactly what to do when designing this final boss. With his glorious chins that overtake the majority of his jubilant face, I’m assuming they must have just been soothsayers and knew what the future held.

8: Leatherface – The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

From his jolly tummy to his messy due, I already know that the team at GUN Interactive was sneaking through my Facebook before releasing this multiplayer game. There’s a reason why people don’t want to play as Leatherface, and I can’t blame them; they just can’t deal with seeing my face this often. I do think that I’m slightly more eloquent in my speech patterns, but I could be sorely mistaken.

7: Snorlax – Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

I’m just a big sleepy guy, what else can I say here?

6: Peppino Spaghetti – Pizza Tower

I wanted to get a picture of me bustin’ it down on the dance floor in here somewhere, so just know that I’m literally just Peppino Spaghetti. I’m not actually Italian, so that was botched a bit when Tour de Pizza decided to use my likeness when creating this all-time icon, but they got my likeness down well otherwise. Now I want some pizza.

5: Kenneth Chase – Dead by Daylight

While the majority of characters on this list bear a striking resemblance to me, I think the team at Behaviour absolutely knocked it out of the park when it came to my representation in Dead by Daylight. From my portly tummy to my general enjoyment of munching on a tasty finger when I’m feeling a bit peckish, the Clown is a near-perfect representation of myself.

4: Duff – Dave the Diver

Sometimes, you just see a character and have to say: he just like me, for real, for real. From his glorious double chin, to his collection of anime waifus, he’s just purely based on me and my passions.

3: Pig Josh – Red Dead Revolver

Pig Josh is just another one of those characters that instantly set off a fuse (heh) when I came across them in my younger years. I just knew that one day, I’d find myself with Dynamite strapped to my person and ready to cause some major damage to a handsome cowboy who stumbled into the wrong place at the wrong time.

2: Robert Richards – Tekken

I mean, there’s not really a whole lot I can say here. It’s a pitch-perfect replica of me, down to the Hawaiian shirts and my sick ability to do backflips and stuff like that.

1: The Duke – Resident Evil Village

To quote the late, great Michael Jackson: I’m starting with the man in the mirror. From the moment I saw The Duke on my screen, I knew it was time to lawyer up and get ready to go after Capcom for literally just lifting my likeness without my permission. (For legal reasons, this is a joke).

Now that we know all of the characters that look like me, I’m going to take a moment to reflect on my self-esteem and likely cry for a bit. But for real, this list is all just for fun, I just unironically look like the first three choices on this list.
