I absolutely loved Sticky Business. In fact, I reviewed it earlier in the year and gave it a solid 9/10. It’s one of those cozy games that feels good to lose yourself in after a long and stressful day. On December 18, 2023, Spellgarden Games released the Plan With Me DLC, a paid update that adds stationery-themed options, such as washi tapes and to-do lists, to your sticker shop portfolio.
If you know me, you’ll know I am obsessed with stationery and journals and have more notebooks than I do dollars in my bank account. It’s a problem. So naturally, I dived straight into the Sticky Business Plan With Me DLC (which I was given in exchange for my honest thoughts, full transparency) and went to town immediately. Also, if you didn’t read my initial review, I used to run my own real-life sticker shop, so it’s a match made in heaven.
Planning for Days
Plan With Me added 144 new stationery-themed stickers to play around with, and I run a witch-themed sticker shop in Sticky Business, so I knew right away that I wanted to make some witchy days of the week stickers for customers to use in their journals. I took one of the torn washi tape stickers and some of the spooky stickers I’d already unlocked from the base game and quickly created a planning set for the whole week. Not forgetting a sparkly overlay, of course.
It sounds strange to say, but I’m very customer-focused in Sticky Business, even though my customers are literally lines of code and very much not real. But knowing I’ve expanded my shop to give them even more ways to use my stickers makes me so happy. I know I’d love to buy a set of sparkly, witchy planning stickers in real life (totally not pulling up Etsy as we speak or anything).
One of the most satisfying things in Sticky Business is going to bed after spending your day creating new stickers for your shop and waking up to orders from customers who have already purchased them. It’s like they’re just as excited as you are.
Plan With Me adds a handful of new packing options, including new paper and candies. You can even add in free office essentials to go along with folks’ stationery orders, such as cute paperclips, notebooks, and highlighter pens. I like to throw in these freebies as an extra thank you for those buying my planning stickers (you get extra XP, too, but that’s not entirely why I do it, I promise).
There are even a few new customer stories, which make me so excited for every order I get in case it’s a returning customer with a note updating me on their situation. As I said, I’m invested.
The DLC isn’t a giant update by any means; it just adds in a few extra options, but these extra options do bring a lot of variety and will have you thinking about your sticker shop in a different way than before.
Is it worth the $3.99 price tag? I’d say so, especially if you’re getting bored of your current sticker shop options. It’s currently on sale for 10% off at $3.59, so if you’re thinking of jumping in, now’s the best time to do so.
