Somebody Recreated Destiny 2 In Minecraft

Welcome to Minecraft, Guardian.
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information

Minecraft has been home to incredible recreations, some that are so mindblowing it’s hard to believe they are real! The latest creative mashup blends Minecraft with Destiny 2 as one player faithfully recreates the space shooter’s Tower social hub within the building adventure.

The below video comes from YouTuber ‘EetzJosh’ as they walk Destiny 2 fans through his Tower recreation within Minecraft. It’s obviously not exact but it’s pretty gosh darn close. As someone who can’t even build a simple one-story house in Minecraft, my mind was definitely blown:

They even faithfully recreated the secret way to get into Zavala’s office, a location that most Destiny 2 players should be familiar with now due to this being a necessary step for new Exotic goodness. They even added a picture of Cayde-6, because we all know that Cayde deserved better!

According to the creator, “A total of 168 hours spread across 3 months has finally allowed me to release this. I am very happy with the final product and definitely do not regret the hours I’ve put into this. I would really like to thank Mealyac and Limonada (bungie.net profiles linked below) for helping me get this done, and I appreciate every minute you spent working with me on this project. I would also like to thank the community over at twitch.tv/buttters for all the support they have given me throughout this. There were a total of 226,089 blocks placed in this world. This was all created in Minecraft 1.14.4, using Optifine and BSL Shaders.”

That’s a lot of dedication for this Destiny 2 nod in Minecraft, but dedication that Zavala himself would be proud of! Bungie should award this fan with a special emblem or something for their hard work because this is nothing short of incredible!
