What’s been your favorite announcement of the week?

Gosh, it would’ve been so easy to say Metal Slug Tactics, but then the Castlevania/Rondo show today got me yelling internally as well. It’s a great time to be a nerd about older games.

Have you had a chance to play the new Ratchet & Clank? If so, what do you think of it so far?

I haven’t! I’m really not a PS2-era mascot games kinda person so I’ve never really dived into this series. Maybe some day!

So… Elden Ring. Everyone’s talking about Elden Ring. What are your thoughts on Elden Ring?

I don’t give the tiniest bit of a crap about George Martin but also this game seems to have horseback double-jumping so I’m in.

Rick from Rick & Morty in Fortnite… yay or nay?

Rick & Morty is this generation’s South Park so uh… I’m good thanks.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

Morgan’s very open-door game preview for Sniper was awesome. Love candid experience stuff like that instead of pure preview fluff!

Are you playing any fun or exciting video games this weekend?

I am playing… too many videogames.

Have any TV, anime, movie, or music recommendations that you’d like to recommend?

No, but I was reading the Deadpool: Samurai manga earlier and just dying at almost every joke. I don’t even like Deadpool that much, so that says something.

Bonus question, who is your favorite Final Fantasy character, and why?

Of the main casts, probably Noctis? His whole arc is so grounded in reality and relatable that it’s like you’re part of the group of homies along for the ride. Also shout-outs to the “Fables” Chocobo; little guy has spunk and a heart of gold.

What’s been your favorite announcement of the week?

Honestly I’m weirdly hyped for Jurassic World Evolution 2??? I really enjoyed the first one, but never saw a reason we would get a sequel. So I’m jazzed about that.

Have you had a chance to play the new Ratchet & Clank? If so, what do you think of it so far?

I’ve played the opening hours and I’m really digging it so far. It’s one of the most visually dense games I’ve seen. So much is going on throughout the screen at any given moment.

So… Elden Ring. Everyone’s talking about Elden Ring. What are your thoughts on Elden Ring?

Elden Ring is one of those things I never really cared all that much about, besides making dumb jokes about it. That trailer has me super interested, but before that reveal it wasn’t even really on my brain.

Rick from Rick & Morty in Fortnite… yay or nay?

Yay but because I love to watch the world burn.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

So many pieces have gone up this week my brain is rattled. Every review we put up this week was all killer no filler. Seriously hit the reviews tab and read to your hearts content.

Are you playing any fun or exciting video games this weekend?

E3 weekend baby, we’re going to be streaming all weekend long at Twitch.tv/Primagames go check it out!

Have any TV, anime, movie, or music recommendations that you’d like to recommend?

I have not really had anytime to consume media lately, but Japanese Breakfast put on a really stellar performance at Summer Game Fest and you should check it out.

Bonus question, who is your favorite Final Fantasy character, and why?

This is a tough one, probably Vivi because Vivi rules and every Final Fantasy should have Vivi in it.

Morgan

What’s been your favorite announcement of the week?

That’s tricky, there’s been a lot announced. I guess Witchercon, it came from left field and I wasn’t expecting it but as a Witcher fan I think it sounds cool.

Have you had a chance to play the new Ratchet & Clank? If so, what do you think of it so far?

I have not yet unfortunately, but I really want to. Visually I think it looks gorgeous, video game graphics have come so far it’s mindblowing.

So… Elden Ring. Everyone’s talking about Elden Ring. What are your thoughts on Elden Ring?

I’m curious about Elden Ring, but I think because everyone is talking about it, my brain is less hyped for it and more, “I wonder what this will turn out to be once it’s released.”

Rick from Rick & Morty in Fortnite… yay or nay?

Both yay and nay. Rick looks cool and it makes sense because there’s probably a crossover audience between Fortnite and Rick & Morty… but, I just think it’s a little too late. It doesn’t work as much now as it might have a year or two ago.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

I concur with Jesse, some great reviews on the site this week. I loved Jesse’s review of Guilty Gear Strive, and loved Lucas’s Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection review.

Shoutout to my Chivalry 2 review as well I guess, I definitely spent too long on it but I was nervous about conveying everything the way I wanted. Either way, check out the Prima reviews tab!

Are you playing any fun or exciting video games this weekend?

I’m mostly keeping tabs on the E3 events so no, but I will probably wind up soaking a lot of time into Chivalry 2 and that’s exciting to me.

Have any TV, anime, movie, or music recommendations that you’d like to recommend?

I started rewatching 11/22/63 on Hulu and I think it still holds up pretty well. It’s an adaptation of one of Stephen King’s more unique books, though I guess it could connect to his Dark Tower series.

You can connect all of his books to The Dark Tower… but I’m not going down that rabbit hole today. Either way 11/22/63 is a good watch.

Bonus question, who is your favorite Final Fantasy character, and why?

Sephiroth, he’s one of the most memorable video game characters ever created. And I’m biased because of shirtless Sephiroth in Smash. I’m a simple human with simple likes/dislikes.
