Have you played Forza Horizon 5? If yes, what do you think of the game so far? If no, what do you think of it having the biggest launch day out of any Xbox Game Studios title?
I haven’t! So, this is conjecture on my part but I think this is a prime example of Xbox gaining a lot of momentum in the public eye. Game Pass has only gotten better and better, and the good will over backwards compat, accessibility and so on helps. Racers are also super popular anyway, so overall it both makes sense and shows us Microsoft’s newer strategies are working.
The Steam Deck has been delayed… did you expect this to happen, or are you surprised?
Based on how they were already staggering shipment estimate for preorders in the first place, I think we should’ve seen it coming. This thing is quite an undertaking, and if Nintendo can’t get enough Switches out to meet holiday demand there’s no way the Steam Deck didn’t run into issues too.
The Game Awards is going to be huge this year, what would you like to see in terms of trailers and announcements?
I dunno, frankly as fun as the trailers and stuff can be I really wish there was a bit more prestige to the awards themselves.
What are some games you’d like to see considered for a GOTY?
I’d love to see games like Tales of Arise, Scarlet Nexus and Guilty Gear at least see some contendorship. Japanese games really showed up this year and they should be recognized besides Far Cry or whatever.
Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?
Jesse’s impromptu gag features are always great when they happen, and Morgan just dropping a big piece on Let it Die out of nowhere rules.
Playing any fun games over the weekend?
Honestly I’m not sure what my plans are for this weekend. Probably keep on going with SMT V and see if I can get closer to the end.
Are there any TV, movie, anime, or music recommendations that you’d like to share?
AEW Full Gear is tomorrow night and I’m about ready for some cool wrestling. The TL is gonna be lit, that’s for sure.
Bonus question, in conjunction with the release of Forza… what’s your favorite car? Either in Forza, or in general?
I’m partial to the Dodge Challenger but only because of Vanishing Point. Otherwise like, maybe the Mach 5 from Speed Racer or the Regalia from Final Fantasy XV.

It’s been fun just driving around finding the most cursed cars I can. Like I have a giant truck that has the Fanta logo on it, a car that has some anime lady on it, and of course, The Mystery Machine. It’s no surprise it’s such a big launch. Gamepass really do be like that.

I figured since we hadn’t heard about it yet that it was bound to happen. My wallet feels happy…..for now.

I’ts hard to say, because so often I want the things I don’t know yet. So I guess either weird collaborations or entirely new announcements.
What are some games you’d like to see considered for a GOTY?
Psychonauts 2, Psychonuats 2.
Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?
I’m going to push my Animal Crossing piece about my sicko villagers.
Playing any fun games over the weekend?
Battlefield 2042!
Are there any TV, movie, anime, or music recommendations that you’d like to share?
I’ve been watching Succession and will continue to tell ya to watch it.
Bonus question, in conjunction with the release of Forza… what’s your favorite car? Either in Forza, or in general?
The Volkswagon bus that I turned into the Mystery Machine.

Have you played Forza Horizon 5? If yes, what do you think of the game so far? If no, what do you think of it having the biggest launch day out of any Xbox Game Studios title?
I’ve been playing a lot of Forza, yeah. I think the game is a lot of fun, easy to sink a decent chunk of time into with everything there is to do in the game. I think it’s awesome it had a big launch day, especially when it comes to the devs.
There’s nothing better than seeing something you’ve worked on be successful.
The Steam Deck has been delayed… did you expect this to happen, or are you surprised?
I had a feeling it might be delayed given how many things have been delayed this year. It’s a shame since it was supposed to come out in December, and with the holidays it’d be the perfect time for people to play around with the Steam Deck.
But yeah, better the Steam Deck be delayed and worked on and ready to go than released too soon.
The Game Awards is going to be huge this year, what would you like to see in terms of trailers and announcements?
I’d like to see something surprising that comes out of left field and surprises everyone, and in general I’d like to see mostly new stuff, less “this game is out now” kind of trailers or promos for game DLC and updates.
What are some games you’d like to see considered for a GOTY?
Before Your Eyes and Life Is Strange: True Colors, both of those for sure.

Loved Jesse’s piece on Animal Crossing, it’s a great read!
Playing any fun games over the weekend?
I’ll be playing a bit more Let It Die now that I’m back into it, more Forza, and some Tetris as always.
Are there any TV, movie, anime, or music recommendations that you’d like to share?
I like it when Spotify recommends artists I’ve never heard before, there was one recently that I liked a lot it’s the song Fire Away by These Four Walls, it’s really good. I’ve also been listening to Cyr by The Smashing Pumpkins an awful lot, it’s been stuck in my head lol.
Bonus question, in conjunction with the release of Forza… what’s your favorite car? Either in Forza, or in general?
In Forza, I’ve been using the 2008 Mitsubishi EVO X GSR nonstop and have won quite a few races with it. It’s one you shouldn’t sleep on if you’re playing Forza, trust me!
And in general, I’m just a huge fan of Mitsu… well, the cars they used to make. I love the EVO, love the 3,000 GT (GTO), love the Eclipse, and I feel sad that Mitsu no longer makes anything interesting like those cars anymore.
