What did you think of this week’s Nintendo Direct?

Absolutely baffled, but in a good way. It was really strange how little Nintendo itself had going on in the show, and some of those third party games were bizarre. On the other hand, the content from Square Enix and Koei Tecmo was exactly the content I want to see. I’m hyped for SaGa Frontier in April, I’m hyped for Legend of Mana, I’m hyped for more Age of Calamity, Samurai Warriors 5 and the Ninja Gaiden collection.

Have you played any fun demos lately (Guilty Gear)?

Jesse and I played some Guity Gear -STRIVE- before the servers imploded, and had a great time. I downloaded the Triangle Strategy one to play over the weekend!

What do you think of news ramping up that Bloober Team could be making a Silent Hill game?

It’s an intriguing moment for sure, especially with the rumor forking into two possible games. I’d love to see Konami bring its IP back from the dead with new games, even if that didn’t go well the last time.

Favorite piece on the site this week and why?

I continue to enjoy Jesse’s self-imposed Pokemon GO beat.

Playing any interesting games this weekend?

It’s a very Capcom weekend! I’ll be playing Arcade Stadium, Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection and SNK vs Capcom: Match of the Millenium. Hell yeah.

What about TV, movies, anime, or music… anything you’d recommend?

I delivered on last week’s promise and watched King of the Monsters. It’s a strange follow-up to the previous Godzilla flick, but it had more gumption than I expected. Then I watched the Godzilla/Kong trailer and it just looks horrible, haha.

Bonus question, who’s your Super Smash Bros. Ultimate main(s)?

If I want to win a match for sure I’m picking Bower, the Koopa King. If I’m running with the big boy I’m unstoppable. I also love to play with Richter, but he’s a lot more of an investment to do well with. Lucas was my previous main before Bowser clicked with me, for obvious reasons. Also Mother 3 is good.

What did you think of this week’s Nintendo Direct?

It was packed with a bunch of stuff. Most of it isn’t my cup of tea. Although I’m pretty pumped for Splatoon 3. Just wish we saw more first-party stuff slated for this year.

Have you played any fun demos lately (Guilty Gear)?

I have been playing Guilty Gear Strive non-stop since I got beta access. The beta was down last night so I wasn’t able to get any matches in, but hopefully, I can play a bunch more tonight and tomorrow.

What do you think of news ramping up that Bloober Team could be making a Silent Hill game?

I think it’s interesting. They make pretty solid stuff, but are they up to the caliber of something like Silent Hill? Who knows. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were doing something in the universe while a slightly larger studio was making a full on game.

Favorite piece on the site this week and why?

Lucas and I put together a Guilty Gear Strive beta impressions piece after Lucas whooped my butt for like an hour straight. It was fun to get some matches in and then break it down.

Playing any interesting games this weekend?

Probably more Guilty Gear and I started that Persona 5 Strikers game, I’ll see how far I get in that this weekend.

What about TV, movies, anime, or music… anything you’d recommend?

Currently nothing on my radar. Might just take it easy this weekend and watch The Office or something casual.

Bonus question, who’s your Super Smash Bros. Ultimate main(s)?

I’ve been playing a lot of Min-Min lately and I’m not really sure why. She’s just hella fun to play.

What did you think of this week’s Nintendo Direct?

I thought it was interesting. I was hoping to hear a few other announcements pop up, but I’m getting the feeling that Nintendo is saving them for the summer. As long as they give me Wind Waker HD at some point I’ll be happy lol.

Have you played any fun demos lately (Guilty Gear)?

Demos, no. I need to pre-order Chivalry 2 so I can gain access to the March beta though, that’ll be fun I think.

What do you think of news ramping up that Bloober Team could be making a Silent Hill game?

Nothing has been confirmed yet, the rumor is that there are two Silent Hill games, one being made by a Japanese developer, and the other with far less known about it. The latter would have to be the one Bloober may (or may not) be working on.

I think there’s some great evidence pointing towards yes, and if the answer is yes, I think Bloober Team could do a solid job. It’d be especially interesting if the two games in development are connected in some way. Either way I hope we get some sort of Silent Hill announcement this year.

Favorite piece on the site this week and why?

Loved the piece from Jesse and Lucas about Guilty Gear -STRIVE- I thought it was very informative.

Playing any interesting games this weekend?

Probably not, it’s going to be more of a research weekend in terms of games than actually playing anything I think.

What about TV, movies, anime, or music… anything you’d recommend?

Music, I always have music to recommend lol. I think the new album from The Pretty Reckless is absolutely phenomenal, I’ve been listening to “And So It Went” on repeat since it came out, I love it.

Bonus question, who’s your Super Smash Bros. Ultimate main(s)?

Before I say which ones, I want to say I don’t play competitively, I usually play with family and friends. So, I mostly play as Kirby because Kirby is my son’s favorite video game character ever and by proxy, mine as well. I also love shirtless Shulk I think his “backslash” is hilarious. Shirtless Sephiroth is great too, for reasons.
