Nintendo Switch Games You Missed in 2018

Expand your library with some thrilling Nintendo Switch games you might have missed out on in 2018.
This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

There have been a lot of great games released for the Nintendo Switch since it’s original launch back in March of 2017, but if you’re a Switch fan that’s been trying to keep up this year, then you’ve probably found yourself racking your brain with all the great game releases hitting the Switch’s library. While there have been some real heavy hitters, there are also quite a few titles that have managed to slip underneath the radar. Here are some Nintendo Switch games you might have missed in 2018.

Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition

When the original Hyrule Warriors released for the WiiU, the game was met with mixed expectations and mixed opinions. While it brought the fun of the Dynasty Warrior series to the console with some great Zelda universe characters, it just didn’t have the oomph that many were expecting. Flash forward to the Switch and Hyrule Warriors is back with its Definitive Edition. Now, there isn’t really a whole lot of new content, but if you’re looking for a fun game to drop into and enjoy for a bit between work days, then Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition offers a nice escape with plenty of room for fun and challenges.

Diablo III

While it might seem silly that Diablo III could ever slide under the radar, a lot of people out there were probably rather quick to write this title off their wishlist of Nintendo Switch titles. After all, the game’s already available on the PC and other consoles, so why pick it up on the Switch? Well, the answer is simple. Not only do you get to enjoy the fun, addicting gameplay of the Diablo series, but you get to enjoy it from the comfort of your Nintendo Switch, which means you can dive deep into dungeons from the comfort of your couch, or while on-the-go, making it the ultimate version of Diablo III for all the loot-addicts out there.

Dead Cells

Building off mechanics from popular genres like metroidvania and roguelike, Dead Cells is a unique beast that gives players deep and fluid gameplay, all wrapped up within a challenging and enticing package. While it features the randomness of a roguelike, it also contains the depth and complexity of a metroidvania game, making it a unique trip down memory lane as you slide, jump and slice your way through lines of enemies on your way to solve the mysteries of a dangerous and unforgiving world.

Of course, there are still a ton of great titles out there that we don’t have time to cover in this list, and to be honest, we’d suggest checking out the Nintendo Switch library to see if anything sticks out. Nintendo is always adding new first party, third party and even indie gems to the eShop, and you aren’t going to want to miss out on any of the great titles that they have coming up.
