The Amazing Spider-Man 2 comes with a total of 47 possible trophies and achievements. Some of these are attainable by simply progressing through the game, while others require more attention. If you’re looking to inch closer to 100 percent completion, try picking up these five. You won’t even break a sweat.
Breaker – Destroy 20 Body Armors
You won’t have the opportunity to unlock this trophy until part way through the campaign. As soon as you begin the Kingpin of Crime mission, enemies with body armor are plentiful. In fact, that particular mission will have about half of what you need.
In order to destroy the body armor, use your Ionic Web. To do this, simply aim at your armored foe and tap the Web-Shoot button. Don’t try holding the button or you’ll charge up your Seismic Blast. You may even want to upgrade your skills from the main menu, making Spidey’s Ionic Web more potent. As soon as your opponent’s armor is destroyed, go in for some melee attacks to finish the job.
Hero of the People – Saved 50 Civilians
The hardest part about this trophy is the time it takes to unlock. Still, saving 50 civilians should be no trouble at all. Each fire you go to should have three, easily located by using your Spider-Sense. As soon as you spot the civilian in the flames, pick him or her up and deliver them to the safe zone before going back in to grab another. The beautiful thing about the journey to unlock this trophy is that completing it will directly contribute to the next one on our list.
True Hero – Heroism to the Maximum
By fighting petty crime and saving civilians, Spider-Man can increase his reputation in Manhattan. The opposite is true as well. If you ignore the needs of the city, you’ll be considered a Menace. It won’t take too many incidents to unlock this trophy, though. In fact, by simply working toward our previous entry, you will easily achieve this one as well. We found that our reputation went up about half a point during each side-mission, meaning that about six of them should do the trick. That’s a 2-for-1 deal that nobody can afford to miss out on.
Vigilante – Completed 10 Petty Crime Situations
Here is another trophy that can be unlocked by completing side missions. This time out, you’ll go after the bad guys and leave the burning buildings to the fire department. Petty crime situations are usually fairly straightforward, often tasking you with taking down between three and five enemies. While you’re at it, though, consider using your Web-Pull to yank the weapons out of your adversaries’ hands. It only takes 50 to earn the Drop It trophy. Not only that, it also keeps them from shooting or hitting you with big sticks. Consider that one a bonus just because we like you so much.
Lightweight Champion – Defeat 50 Enemies
This trophy is unlocked by playing the game and pushing buttons. Seriously though, we’re not sure if it’s possible to beat the game without unlocking this. Someone should try… not that it would be worth the time and effort. Besides simply playing through the story, you can take a big chunk out of this one when you’re working on the side missions. Should you decide to ignore the side missions, you’ll still most likely have this one by the fourth or fifth mission. Now, if you’re going for the Middleweight Champion or the Heavyweight Champion, you’re looking at 300 and 500 enemies respectively. Good luck!
