Microsoft releases 343 Industries’ Halo 5: Guardians exclusively for Xbox One on October 27. The base game costs $59.99, but if you’re a fan of the popular franchise, spending more cash may enhance your experience. Similar to previous Halo launch events, Microsoft has no shortage of special editions and other merchandise to entice its most devoted consumers. And if for some reason you don’t own an Xbox One console, we have the perfect bundle to make your holiday season one to remember. You know, in addition to seeing family and stuff.
With this in mind, prepare for Halo 5 with the following must have items.
Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition Xbox One System
If you’re curious about Halo 5 but still need an Xbox One, you can’t go wrong with the Limited Edition bundle for $499.99. Inside is a specially branded console (complete with Halo sound effects) with a 1TB hard drive, a Halo 5-themed controller, digital copy of the game, SteelBook case, Halo: The Fall of Reach animated series, assorted DLC goodies and finally, a Metal Earth Guardian model. Considering game installs and downloadable content take up a huge chunk of space, the 1TB hard drive makes this package even more desirable. Additionally, the artwork on the system looks awesome. We love the gray blue with matching controller.
Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition
If you’d rather own a physical copy of Halo 5 and don’t need an Xbox One (or two), the Limited Edition is $99.99 well spent. You still receive most of the items from the console bundle, including 15 Premium Requisition Packs for the game’s new REQ System. Now for something a bit pricier.
Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector’s Edition
What separates this sweet bundle from the Xbox One package (aside from the console), is the exclusive statue of Master Chief and Spartan Locke. Depending on how bad you want this statue, there exists the possibility of forking over $499.99 for the system bundle and then another $249.99 for the Limited Collector’s Edition. Seems expensive, but on the positive side, payday is only a few days away from October 27.
Halo 5: Guardians Master Chief Wireless Controller
You will be able to buy the Halo 5 controller from the Xbox One bundle separately for $69.99, and there’s also the above Master Chief-inspired controller available for the same price. The best part? You won’t have to wait until October 27 to get your hands on both, since they’ll appear in stores October 6. Think of it as the appetizer to the Halo 5 feast you are about to enjoy throughout those long winter months.
